Principal Welcome
Welcome to Cobram Secondary College — a school proudly creating the community of tomorrow.
At Cobram Secondary College, we believe deeply that every young person deserves to feel known, valued, challenged and supported. Our school is built on a simple but powerful belief:
Every student matters. Every staff member cares. Every opportunity taken. Every student succeeds.
These words are far more than a motto. They shape every decision we make, every opportunity we provide, and every relationship we build with students and families.
As a growing rural secondary college located on the Murray River, we are incredibly proud of the opportunities available to our students and the strong sense of belonging that exists within our school community. Our students are encouraged to pursue excellence in many forms — academically, creatively, culturally, socially and through sport and leadership.
We are proud to offer a range of innovative programs designed to ensure every student can thrive. These include:
- Our Victorian High Abilities Program and in-school extension opportunities for high-ability students
- The Elevate Program, which allows selected younger students to participate in senior learning experiences
- An award-winning Instrumental Music Program, with approximately a quarter of our students involved in music performance and tuition
- Our growing Athlete Development Program, supporting students to pursue sporting excellence while balancing academic success
- Strong pathways through VCE, VCE VM, vocational learning and school-based apprenticeships
- Extensive wellbeing supports embedded through our innovative sub-school model, where wellbeing sits alongside learning as a core priority
At Cobram Secondary College, wellbeing is not an “add-on” — it is central to how we operate as a school. Our sub-school teams work closely with students and families to ensure every young person is supported academically, socially and emotionally. We know students learn best when they feel safe, connected and cared for.
We are equally proud of the culture we continue to build among our staff. Our teachers and education support staff are deeply committed to young people and work together to create classrooms where students are challenged, supported and encouraged to succeed. We are recognised for our strong mentoring culture, leadership development and support for early career teachers.
Our school is also deeply connected to the wider Cobram community. Whether through ANZAC Day commemorations, student leadership, music performances, sporting pathways, community partnerships or wellbeing initiatives, we strive to develop young people who contribute positively to the world around them.
We want our students to leave Cobram Secondary College not only with strong academic outcomes, but with confidence, compassion, resilience and a belief that they can shape their future and contribute meaningfully to their community.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our school. We warmly invite you to visit, meet our students and staff, and experience firsthand what makes Cobram Secondary College such a special place to learn and grow.
We are proud of who we are.
We are proud of our students.
And we are proud to be creating the community of tomorrow.
