Canteen, Breakfast & Lunch

At Cobram Secondary College, our canteen is a little different.

Rather than operating as a traditional school canteen, we provide free breakfast and lunch every day to support our students and make sure everyone has access to food during the school day. Each morning, staff prepare simple breakfast options such as toast, pancakes, orange juice and milk. At lunchtime, students can access a range of free food including soups, baked beans and spaghetti on toast, as well as meals and snacks prepared by our Food Studies classes.

This approach reflects who we are as a school: every student matters, every staff member cares, every opportunity is taken and every student succeeds.

Our canteen is also a place where learning and care come together. Students in Food Studies contribute to the wider school community by preparing food that is shared with others, building practical skills while supporting their peers.

For students who are looking for more traditional café-style lunch options, we also partner with The Border Bridge Cafe, Barooga, which delivers pre-ordered lunches to the school.

At CSC, food is about more than lunch. It is about care, connection and making sure students are ready to learn.
