Athlete Development Program

The Athlete Development Program is a high-performance sports academy designed to provide regional students with opportunities typically available in metropolitan sporting environments. The program combines practical training with sports science theory to develop the whole athlete — physically, mentally, and personally.

Students will participate in strength and conditioning sessions, sport-specific training, and classroom-based learning focused on areas such as nutrition, recovery, biomechanics, psychology, injury prevention, and leadership. The program is supported by an Accredited Exercise Scientist, ensuring students are exposed to evidence-based training methods, safe exercise practices, and current sports performance principles used in elite sporting environments.

The program also aims to build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and respectful sporting behaviour, preparing students for success both on and off the field.

Aligned with our school values — Every Student Matters, Every Staff Member Cares, Every Opportunity Taken — the Athlete Development Program supports students who are passionate about sport and committed to improving their performance in a positive, high-expectation environment.

Through access to quality coaching, structured development pathways, and opportunities to represent the school in competition, the program seeks to bridge the gap between regional and metropolitan sport development while fostering a strong and inclusive sporting culture within the school community.
